2003 Dodge Dakota Exhaust Pipe Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the Exhaust Pipe on 2003 Dodge Dakota?
A: Raise the sports car on support stands before you start to service the intermediate pipe. Put Mopar Rust Penetrant into the clamp nuts and leave for 5 minutes before unscrewing the front and rear nuts. It is possible that other components in the exhaust must be freed to easily remove the extension pipe. You should first connect the extension pipe to the muffler and the catalytic converter flange for installation. If any other parts of the exhaust system became loose when you took it out, ensure they're fastened properly afterward. Place the clamps and nuts and tighten them until the torque reaches 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Last, position the vehicle on the ground, start the engine and double-check for exhaust leaks and if the exhaust system is scraping the body panels, making adjustments to their alignment.
