2003 Dodge Durango Wiper Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Front Wiper Arm on 2003 Dodge Durango?
A: Lift up the front wiper arm, go over the middle and hold the wiper blade off the glass to take tension off the wiper arm and its connection to the wiper pivot. Open the bonnet and remove the plastic nut cap from the wiper arm nut at the front of the wiper. Erase the front wiper arm nut, then make use of a battery terminal puller to release the actual front wiper arm in the wiper pivot shaft splines in addition to remove the wiper arm link end from the wiper pivot. Before putting on the new wiper arms, switch to the parking position by turning on the ignition and don't move the multi-function switch; let the wipers rest until they stop and then close the ignition. Get all the wiper arms into park mode and use the wiper pivots to position the blade ends 15 mm (0.59 in.) above the wiper-line in the upper part of the lower windshield blackout area. After the wiper sections are aligned, move the front wiper arm a little up and push the wiper pivot hole over the pivot on the wiper shaft. Using the handle, tighten the nut at the front wiper arm to the wiper pivot shaft to 23.7 Nm (210 in. lbs.). First, wet the windshield as you turn on the front wipers, then turn them off and make sure that both wipers are fully retracted. In the end, connect the cap to the end of the plastic wiper arm pivot nut.
