First, set up a prop rod under the brake pedal so that you maintain system pressure, remove the battery's cables and then take out the battery. After that, open each connector's clip, unplug the electrical cables and take out the brake lines from the HCU. Afterward, take out the HCU/CAB by removing the mounting bolts. For replacement, you must reprogram the CAB using a DRB III during installation. Attach the HCU/CAB to the mounts using the bolts which should be tightened down to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.); afterward, link the five brake lines to the HCU and tighten these to 19 Nm (170 in. lbs.). Turn the electrical harness around and secure them to the HCU/CAB over the connector, then press down gently to release it. Reattach the battery and link the battery cables after that, pull up the prop rod from the brake and go on to bleed the ABS system.
