2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Speed Sensor on the Front Wheel on 2003 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: To remove the wheel speed sensor you need to first remove the front rotor, then remove both the wheel speed sensor mounting bolt from the hub and remove the wheel speed sensor itself. Afterwards, separate the wiring from the clips as well as the electrical connector. Start by connecting the power plug into the clips and reconnect the electrical connector for installation. Once bolt is tightened to 21 Nm (190 in. lbs.) install wheel speed sensor back onto hub and secure with mounting bolt. Last, reinstall the front rotor and the brake caliper assembly.
