To service brake pads, lift the vehicle up, take the wheel off and compress the caliper. Remove the caliper and brake shoes and then the anti-rattle springs. Clean and lubricate parts prior to reassembling. Finally reattach caliper, wheel and lower the vehicle and apply brakes to seat the components.
