A: Start by removing and blocking the air bag system's negative (ground) cable from the battery to stop it. Allow the capacitor to discharge for at least two minutes before working on the evaporator. Wresthe housing from the heater and remove the inside parts to get to the evaporator which you will lift out of the bottom part of the heater housing. At installation, put the evaporator coil inside the lower section of the heater housing, assemble the housing and mount the heater. If you are changing out the evaporator, recall to add 60 milliliters (2 fluid ounces) of refrigerant oil to the system.
