How to Remove and Replace a Crankshaft on 2003 Jeep Liberty?

In order to change the crankshaft, disassemble the engine assembly, flex plate and oil seal. Drain off the oil, then take out the oil pan, timing components and bedplate bolts. Removal of crankshaft, journals inspection and replacement of bearings. Install bolts in a sequence, examine crankshaft torque and reinstall every component and then reassemble the engine.
