2003 Jeep Liberty Transmission Mount Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair the Transmission Mount for an Automatic Transmission on 2003 Jeep Liberty?
A: First, unplug the negative battery cable and position the car so the transmission is raised a bit off the ground. Take out the nuts that affix the rest cushion to the crossmember and after that, pull out the crossmember. For vehicles equipped with 4WD, take out the screws between the support cushion and the transmission, whereas with 2WD you should remove the bolts connecting the transmission adaptor bracket to the transmission and detach that bracket. During installation, link the mount to the transmission with bolts, put the crossmember in place and connect it to the mount with the through bolt and nut. Unattach the transmission support, lower the car and link the negative cable of the battery.
