How to Remove and Reinstall an Oil Pan on 2003 Jeep Liberty?

In order to take out the oil pan, empty the engine oil, disconnect the exhaust pipe, and put the axle down. Make Special Tool support 8534 use and then clean surfaces by removing the oil pan. Install new gasket and pan, tighten bolts and reassemble components, checking on the appropriate level of oil before completing.
