How to Service and Repair a Shift Cable for Park-Interlock Systems on 2003 Jeep Liberty?

In order to service the park-interlock cable, reduce the steering column and remove the cable connector off the shift lever assembly. Take out the cable in the vehicle making sure that the gear shift cable is not left loose. Connect the new cable, and clip it in place and test the operation and then reconnect the floor console.
