How to Service and Repair a Manual Transmission Mount on Jeep Liberty?

Before fixing the rear engine mount for a manual transmission, take out the battery wall and raise the vehicle so the transmission can be supported safely. Get rid of the nuts using a wrench that hold the support cushion to the crossmember, then lift up the crossmember and move it aside. After that, take off the nuts under the driver's seat cushion and remove the cushion, then loosen and remove the bolts securing the bracket to the transmission to release the bracket. During installation, fit the support cushion onto the transmission and tighten the bolts used for the purpose. Put the crossmember into place in the vehicle and hold it with the mount bolt and nut. Next, add the bolts between the crossmember and the vehicle sill and tighten them to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque. Then, lower the entire vehicle, take out the transmission support and reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
