How to Service and Repair a Timing Cover on 2004 Chrysler 300M?

Start by taking the negative cable off the remote jumper terminal when working on or repairing the front timing cover. Take out the upper radiator crossmember, the fan for the radiator and the accessory drive belts. After that, take off the lower belt cover behind the crankshaft vibration damper, the A/C belt guide/lift bracket and the stamped steel cover, but don't remove the reusable sealer; if any sealer lacks, use Mopar Engine RTV GEN II to put a new one. When that time comes, take off the left cast cover. Begin the installation by fitting the left cast cover with the generator/power steering belt tensioner setup, next line the right stamped steel cover and finish it off by attaching the A/C belt guide/lift bracket. After that, place the lower cover, vibration damper, drive belts and fan radiator. Finally, lift the upper radiator crossmember back into place before wiping the negative cable onto the remote jumper terminal.
