  A: Before starting to service the headlamp switch, locate and remove the battery negative cable to disable the air bag system, then wait two minutes for the air bag capacitor to empty to keep it from mistakenly activating. Put the lower instrument panel aside and then disconnect and release the four harness connectors just behind the headlight switch. After that, pop the headlamp switch interior trim panel out and use a screwdriver to get rid of the three attachment screws and the five screws that hold the headlamp switch to the lower instrument panel. After installation, place the headlamp switch in its lower position on the instrument panel and secure it with one and two screws. Fix the interior headlamp switch panel in place, join the harness cables and after that, put in the lower instrument panel. When everything feels secure, attach the battery's negative cable again.
