2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser Blower Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace a Blower Motor in an Air Conditioning System on 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: Before getting into replacing the blower motor with air conditioning, disconnect and surround the negative battery cable. Uninstall the scuff plate below the passenger side door and then take back the carpet to reach the blower motor at the bottom-right of your HVAC unit. Separate the blower motor wire harness connector, undo the screws holding the blower motor to the HVAC housing and slip the motor out. Make sure the new blower motor is inserted into the HVAC housing, secure it with the retaining screws and tighten them to reach 2.3 Nm (20 in. lbs.). First, connect the blower motor wire harness connector; then, place the carpet back in place, put on the door sill scuff plate and, finally, attach the negative battery cable.
