How to Remove and Reinstall a Battery Sensor on 2004 Dodge Ram 1500?

The battery temperature sensor must first be uninstalled when you take out the battery-it is situated under the battery, connected to a hole in the battery tray. When the battery is clear, lift the sensor straight up from its spot on the battery tray and remove the electric connector from the sensor. To install, take the electrical connector through the top hole in the battery tray, attach the sensor, slide it into the tray and finally set the battery back into place.
