How to Maintain a Harmonic Balancer and Crankshaft Pulley on 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Before servicing the harmonic balancer and crankshaft pulley, remove the negative cable from the battery. Remove the serpentine drive belt and fan shroud and after that, take out the bolt and washer from the vibration damper. Attach the Vibration Damper Removal Tool 7697 and loosen the damper from its location on the crankshaft. Lay a ring of Mopar Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant on the keyway of the crank before putting in the key. Put the hub end of the keyway onto the crankshaft key and softly tap the vibration damper onto the crankshaft. Next, attach the plastic washer back to the vibration damper housing and tighten the retaining bolt but using 108 Nm (80 ft. lbs.) torque. Lastly, put on the serpentine drive belt and fan shroud and link the negative cable back to the battery.
