In order to fix the trunk or liftgate hinge, stabilize the liftgate and take off the upper trim panel. Indicate the position of hinge, and remove and replace the hinge using body sealer. Tighten screws to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.) and reattach the trim and ensure alignment and no water leakage.
