  A: The first step in service is to separate and protect the negative battery cable. Open the lock on the defective side shield, remove the rotten cushion and disconnect the heated seat switch electric connector by pulling it away from the connector. From underneath the switch, push it gently back and forth to get it out of its mounting place. To fit the switch into its spot, gently wiggle the piece back and forth and then attach the heated seat switch electrical connector. First, put the appropriate side shield for the seat cushion back on and next, attach the negative battery cable.
