2005 Chrysler Crossfire A/C Accumulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an A/C Accumulator on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Before servicing the A/C accumulator, drain the refrigerant and after that look for and unplug electrical connector 2. Now, take out section 3 which consists of line 1 and the refrigerant pressure sensor 2. Lift and hold the car up, then take out the wheel and tire group. Take out all the screws and plastic nuts that attach the left inner fender (front section) to the fenderwell and then separate the fender. Remove the pressure line 1 and the mounting nuts 2 next and pull out the A/C accumulator. Place the A/C accumulator inside the vehicle and tighten it with the mounting nuts 2. Hook the lower pressure line 1 back into place and twist it to 17 Nm (12 ft. lbs.), then attach the left inner fender (front section) as well as the wheel and tire assembly. Insert sensor 2 and put pressure line 1 in place and tighten with torque of 17 Nm (12 ft. lbs.), before connecting the electrical connector 2. At the end, put the refrigerant into the system.
