2005 Chrysler Crossfire A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to remove and Install an A/C Condenser on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Before you remove the condenser, find out where the radiator and condenser air seals are, because they guide air and need to be properly replaced for the air conditioning and engine cooling to work well. Initially, move the A/C system into service mode, take the negative battery line off and empty the refrigerant. Be sure the coolant temperature isn't higher than 90 °C before you open the cooling system and do it slowly while wearing safety gloves, coveralls and safety goggles. To decrease pressure in the cooling system, turn the radiator cap (1) back into place, remove the condenser's radiator fan, coolant reservoir (1) and refrigerant lines (1) from the condenser. Relax the bolts of the condenser's mount (1-2), tilt the radiator forward and then remove the condenser. After setting up the condenser, attach it in its position and tighten the cramp rings for the condenser tubes (1-2). Then, install the refrigerant lines from the condenser, fastening them with 18 ft. lbs. of torque and repeat the process with the radiator, both hoses, fan and reservoir. First, add coolant, second, fill refrigerant in the system and then attach the negative on the battery terminal.
