How to Maintain the Second Row Center Seat Belt and Retractor on 2005 Dodge Durango?

For the second row center seat belt and retractor, begin by inspecting every safety belt, buckle, mounting part, retractor, tether strap and anchor for proper installation and damage, then replace any cut, frayed or torn belts; also, adjust any loose fasteners. First, bring the left outboard rear seat forward and do a tumbling motion to access the hideaway cover at the center of the vehicle, then free it from the bracket with the three screws you need to remove. Then, unscrew the second row's middle seat belt lower anchor screw which attaches it to the hinge bracket and remove the anchor. Work your way in between the seat back panel and the shock absorbers and unscrew the belt grip web guide bezel. Uncover the trim from behind the center seat, remove the three screws that hold the retractor and then remove the three screws on the seat frame. Lift up on the retractor to remove the tabs from the keyed openings on the seat back frame, then pull the assembly of retractor and seat belt out of the space between the seat back cushion and frame. Sit the belt and its retractor between the seat back foam and frame, then click the tabs on the retractor bracket into the keyed slots. Use three screws to attach the retractor and tighten them to 27 N.m. Next, attach the center seat back beam cover, fit the belt lower anchor through the middle belt web guide bezel hole and fasten the bezel to the seat back panel with two screws tightened to 2 N.m. Place the lower anchor over the hinge bracket, with the anti-rotation tab engaged and secure it When complete, attach the center seat back bracket cover on the bracket with three screws tightened to 2 N.m and bring the left outboard second row seat back to a sitting position.
