How to Service and Repair the Rear A/C Switch on 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Before service and repair, first unbuckle and separate the negative battery cable. If your controls are mounted on overhead rails, use a C-4755 trim stick or one of the same type to gently lift the rear A/C-heater control unit off the rails, release the assembly and remove its connector(s). Should you need to, take out the three screws holding the control to the housing. To remove a headliner mounted assembly, disconnect the negative cable, use the trim tool to pry the bezel's edge off the headliner and remove the base and wire harness connector(s). When necessary, take out the three screws attaching the control to the bezel. On the back of the housing or bezel, place the rear A/C-heater control, attach and tighten three screws to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.) and then plug in the wire harness connector. If fixing the bezel to the headliner, tuck the locator tabs from the back of the bezel into the openings and push them firmly into place. Put the control housing over the rail and push it down until all the clips have clicked. Hook up the negative cable to the car battery after that and use the DRB-III(r) scan tool to reset the calibration of the Rear Temperature Selector. Despite the header not reporting Actuator Calibration errors, check that all figures for the Front Control are within the correct range and change anything that is out of range. Cool the car by setting the rear temperature selector to Cold and holding for 5 seconds. Then, heat it by turning it to Hot and holding it for 5 seconds to finish calibration.
