To service the back up lamp switch, lift the car and disconnect the switch connector. Unscrew the switch from transaxle and apply Teflon tape on threads and tighten to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Reconnect the connector, lower the vehicle and check the back up lamp's operation.
