  A: Before doing anything else, take out as much fluid as you possibly can from the power steering fluid reservoir. After that, lift the vehicle and undo the clamp fastening the power steering fluid return hose to the fluid cooler. Next, break the hose connection to the cooler. Take away the hose clamp connecting the steering cooler fluid hose to the steel fitting at the power steering gear outlet port. Once that's done, unscrew the two screws holding the cooler onto the front suspension support. On left-hand drive vehicles, grasp the tube routing clamp from the power steering gear housing's right front and pull out the cooler tube. Remove the cooler from the car when you are done.
