How to Maintain a Power Steering Pump for Optimal Performance on 2005 Dodge Neon?

Before you can service the power steering pump pulley, take the power steering pump out of the vehicle since only its pulley can be replaced. Be careful when pulling out or installing the pulley since plastic composite makes up all parts except for the center shank. Put C-4333 or its equivalent on the steering pump pulley first, then use the puller to screw out the pulley on the belt side which will remove it. A cracked or loose pulley must be replaced as soon as possible. After you've removed the belt, take the puller from the pulley on the power steering pump. For installing a pulley, use the correct instructions from the assembly manual.
