How to Maintain an Oxygen Sensor on 2005 Dodge Ram 1500?

Before working on the oxygen sensor, ensure the engine is not hot to avoid being harmed by the hot manifold, pipes and converter. Hold up the vehicle, disconnect the O2S sensor's wire connector and be sure to not directly tug at the wire when you disconnect it. To remove the sensor, connect your O2 removal tool and use the correct tap to clean the threads inside the exhaust pipe. Because the threads on the O2S sensor are already covered with anti-seize compound, do not add any more before installing. Set the O2S sensor at 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) using the torque wrench, then link the O2S sensor wire to its connector and then drop the vehicle by lifting the support safely.
