How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on 2005 Dodge Ram 1500?

The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor sits before the throttle valve and is hermetically sealed with an O-ring (2). Before taking out the sensor, unplug the electrical connector and then wipe the area surrounding the MAP sensor. Then, remove the MAP sensor and check whether the O-ring is worn out. Clean up the MAP sensor hole in the intake manifold and make sure the O-ring is not ripped during installation. Install the controller into the manijd, fit the bolts (screws) into place and plug the electrical cable back in.
