How to Properly Service a Muffler on 2005 Jeep Liberty?

The first step to service the muffler is to lift the car on a hoist. Take out the nuts that hold the exhaust pipe to the muffler and tailpipe assembly. Take a proper pry bar and carefully pry the muffler and tailpipe assembly out of the exhaust hanger. When you have removed everything, put the muffler and tailpipe assembly back into the vehicle and connect it to the exhaust hangers. After that, connect the muffler and tailpipe to the exhaust pipe using the retaining nuts, making sure to torque them to 32.4 Nm before bringing down the vehicle from the hoist.
