Get the new oil put in your engine whenever the Maintenance Schedule suggests that it's time. Because engine oil can be irritating, try not to keep your skin in contact with it for too long. Because used engine oil can harm your health, it's important to clean your skin with soap and water and never use gasoline, diesel fuel, thinner or solvents for cleaning. Ask your dealer or the local government where you can take used engine oil for disposal. Allow the coolant to do this, then put the car on a flat surface and switch off the engine. Lift the vehicle on safety stands and raise it using the jack, open the fill cap for oil and place a drain pan under the crankcase drain. Unscrew the drain plug from the crankcase, let the oil run into the pan and while waiting, see if the threads on the plug are stretched or have any damage; if they do, change the drain plug and gasket. After removing the oil filter, put the drain plug in the crankcase and tighten it. Set a new oil filter, then lower the car, replace the engine oil using the right amount and type and top up by filling in the crankcase. After starting the engine, check for leaks and when it's off again, look at the oil level. Take care when you dispose of used engine oil after it has been removed from the vehicle engine.
