2005 Jeep Liberty Wiper Blade Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain Your Wiper Blade on 2005 Jeep Liberty?
A: First lift the front wiper arm by pulling it backward until you hear it go over center and then raise the blade and element off the window. To remove the wiper blade, depress the pivot block latch release tab under the tip of the arm and slide the blade towards the pivot end of the arm to disengage the pivot block from the hook formation on the end of the arm. Use the opening in the wiper blade superstructure ahead of the latch assembly to remove the hook, taking care not to let the wiper arm hit the glass. Fold the end of the wiper arm down with light pressure onto the windshield. To install the wiper, raise the front arm above the windshield until the hinge stands empty or makes a hitch while rising. Set the front wiper blade so that its release hook touches the arm tip and the notched part of the wiper element flexor points toward the closest wiper arm side to the wiper pivot. Insert the hook formation carefully into the opening in the wiper superstructure, ahead of the wiper blade pivot block/latch unit, until the pivot block clicks into the hook. Push the wiper blade pivot block/latch all the way up into the hook slot and you will hear a click when its release tab locks. Now, place the wiper blade smoothly on top of the windshield.
