2004 Jeep Liberty Wiper Blade Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Change a Wiper Blade on 2004 Jeep Liberty?
A: The first thing to do is to lift the front wiper arm to lift the blade and the element off the glass so the arm hinge reaches its over-center position. Press the latch tab under the tip of the arm and move the blade away from the pivot point to pop the pivot block out of the arm's hook. Hook the rubber wiper blade into the notch in the superstructure in front of the wiper blade pivot block, checking that the wiper arm won't spring upward and damage anything. Take care to rest the tip of the wiper arm on the passenger or driver window. To install, lift the wiper arm clear of the windshield while the hinge is all the way forward. Place the front wiper blade over the hook on the end of the arm, so that the end of the notched wiper flexor is pointed toward the other end of the arm closest to the pivot. Press the assembly containing the hook up through the opening in the wiper blade superstructure, lifting it until the hook meets the wiper blade pivot block/latch. Slide the pivot block/latch up into the hook shape and when the latch releases tab clicks into place, wait for an audible click. At the end, lower the wiper blade softly onto the surface of the windshield.
