2006 Chrysler Pacifica Control Arm Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to install the lower control arm on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Install the lower control arm in the locating brackets that are on the engine cradle. For mounting nuts with flags, check that the flags on the rear are pointed correctly: the left flag goes upward and the right flag goes downward; this way, contact with the lower control arm won't happen when the bolts are snug. Put in the bolts that hold the engine cradle together with the lower control arm bushes in the back, making sure they fit into their correct holes without being tightened. After that, install the steering knuckle, brake rotor and caliper, then put the tire and wheel together on the studs and tighten the mounting nuts to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.) torque. Put the vehicle on the floor in a safe area, raise it onto an alignment rack or drive-on hoist as needed and check its mounting bolts. Last, apply 163 Nm (120 ft. lb.) of torque to the lower control arm frame bolts and have the wheels aligned.
