  A: First, take apart the hood latch, lift the hood and unfasten the radiator closure. Next, undo the screws on the hood latch that go through the radiator crossmember and cut the release cable before you get rid of the hood latch. When installing, put the hood latch so it mates with the tabs that have been formed in the crossmember. You may have to flatten them so it lines up correctly. Attach the hood release cable and screw the latch bolts into the radiator crossmember. Adjust their screw heads to a torque of 14 N.m (120 in.lbs.). Afterwards, attach the radiator closure, close the hood and test the hood operation and alignment.
