2006 Chrysler Pacifica Hood Cable Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Hood Cable on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: For service and repair, unlatch the hood and then open it. Loosen the remote hood release cable from the hood latch and take off any connections that secure it. Remove the left front cowl trim panel and afterwards remove the screws that hold the hood release handle to the panel; finally, take the cable out of the clip. Take off the rubber grommet from the dash panel as you move the hood cable through the hole in the panel. Once you have done this, pull out the cable and the handle. Assemble the cable and handle onto your vehicle, push the hood cable through the hole in the dash panel and secure the rubber grommet into the panel. Screw the hood release handle into place on the cowl panel and replenish the left front cowl trim panel. Link the hood cable under the hood to the hood latch and attach the remote hood release cable clips before installing the latch. Afterward, reopen the hood to test its performance.
