How to Maintain and Fix a Shift Knob on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

In order to fix the gear shift knob, loosen the set screw 2 and remove the knob 1 on the shifter handle. To reinstall, screw 1 is connected with gearshift knob 1, and screw 2 with a set screw is tightened to 2 Nm (17 inch lbs.).
