How to Maintain Trunk Lid Lift Support Effectively on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

In order to replace the trunk liftgate shock support, open the decklid and support it with a lifting device. Removal of the gas support rods is done by disengaging the clips. When installing it, connect the rods together and make sure that clips are attached. Lastly, disconnect the lifting device and make sure the decklid works.
