How to Service an Axle Shaft Seal on 2006 Dodge Dakota?

First, take off the axle shaft in order to service the seal. After that, take out the axle shaft seal from the axle tube with a seal pick. It is important to get rid of any old sealant or retaining burrs prior to installing the bearings. Apply axle lubricant to the upper part of the seal and put it into place with Installers C-4198 and Handle C-4171. You should now reinstall the axle shaft.
