2006 Dodge Dakota Control Arm Bushing Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Control Arm Bushing for Lower on 2006 Dodge Dakota?
A: Before fixing the lower control arm bushing, first remove the control arm (6) and put it in a vise. Using lubrication that requires high pressure keeps your tool safe and smooth when you need to remove or install parts. Use special tools C-4212-F for pressing, 9334-5 for receiving parts and 9603-3 for drivers to remove the bushing from the lower control arm. To install the bushing, push it down into the lower control arm using tools Press, Depth Gauge and Driver. Following installation, take the control arm out of the vise, reinstall the lower control arm (6), reset the ride height and then align all the wheels.
