2006 Dodge Durango Exhaust Heat Shield Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service an Exhaust Heat Shield on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: The first step to service the heat shield is to lift and prop the car. Pull out the screws and nuts that fix the heat shields to the frame and floor pan and detach the two oxygen sensor connectors. Carefully pull the heat shield out over the area surrounding the exhaust system. When you install the heat shields, fasten them to the floor pan or frame with the specified number of screws and nuts, making sure the tightness doesn't exceed 7 Nm (60 inch lbs.) Remember to lower the vehicle after installing the heat shields.
