You need to drain the power steering first and afterward, hoist and secure the car. Unplug the return hose (4) from the gear (2) and from the cooler (5) and then remove it from the crossmember. Lift out the return hose from your vehicle. The first step is to connect the return hose from the vehicle to the inside (5) and connect it at the gear (2) as well, tightening each hose connection to 38 Nm (28 ft. lbs.). Run the return hose across the crossmember and fasten it, before support removal and vehicle lowering. Last, add more power steering fluid to the car.
