How to Service and Repair a Front Engine Mount on a 2WD on 2006 Dodge Ram 1500?

Before you service the front engine mount, cut off the negative cable from the vehicle's battery and make sure to remove the viscous fan to safeguard the fan blade, fan clutch and fan shroud. Lift up the vehicle and take out the engine oil filter and the oil drain trough. Put a jack under the engine and wood across its oil pan and under the front axle as well. Remove the four bolts connecting the engine mounts to the front axle and the three bolts joining the front axle to the left engine bracket and then you can lower the front axle. After you unbolt the engine, move it a little higher and unbolt the mounts from above and the bolts holding them to the engine. When mounting the engine and bracket onto the axle, put the Mopar Lock and Seal Adhesive, Medium Strength Threadlocker on the bolts of the mount. Secure the engine mounts to the engine block with the eight bolts at 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Slowly add the two through bolts into the engine mounts and cover them with the nuts. Guide the engine into position till the through bolts fit the frame bracket slots and tighten the nuts by applying 94 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) of force. Return the oil drain trough and oil filter to their places, bring the car to the floor, install the fan and hook the negative battery cable back up.
