2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Rear Wheel Speed Sensor on 2006 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: The rear wheel speed sensor should be serviced while the vehicle is on a hoist. Pull out the brake line mounting nut and take the brake line off the stud on the sensor. Then, carefully grab the mounting stud and lift it out from under the sensor and shield and then remove the shield and sensor from their place in the differential housing. Take away the sensor wire harness and detach the sensor. Link the harness to the sensor and make certain the seal fits securely between the sensor and the wiring connector. Should the O-ring be missing, put it back in its position on the sensor. Insert the differential sensor first and later install the sensor shield. Attach the sensor to the mounting stud, then tighten the stud to 24 Nm. Join the brake line to the sensor stud, add the nut and only after that lower the vehicle.
