2006 Dodge Ram 2500 ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an ABS Control Module on 2006 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: When servicing the Electronic Brake Control Module, begin by taking out the negative battery cable from the battery. Pull up the release on the ABM harness connector and then take out the ABM mounting bolts. After finishing that, take the connector from the pump off the ABM and take out the ABM from the HCU. Every time you set up an ABS module, it must be reprogrammed with a specialized tool. The first step is to put the ABM device on the HCU and then attach the pump's connector to the ABM. Attach the ABM to the mounting bolts and tighten them to 2 N.m (16 in. lbs.). Gently push the circuit board connector into the ABM port. After all this, reattach the negative battery cable to the battery.
