The sensor of ECT on the 5.7L engine is fitted beneath air conditioning compressor. The only way to get it out is to drain the cooling system, unbolt the compressor but do not take hoses off, and unhook the sensor. Install thread sealant, tighten to 11 Nm, reconnect electrical connector and reassemble parts.
