2006 Jeep Commander Antenna Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Effectively Remove and Install a Satellite Antenna on 2006 Jeep Commander?
A: Before eliminating the satellite antenna, you must first pull out the battery's negative lead from the car. Raise the front of the interior and lower the back to access the antenna's underside, then detach the wire harness connectors from it. Get rid of the fastener and its retainer. Depress one retaining tab on the roof antenna from within the vehicle and gently raise the antenna connector through the panel on one side. Firmly press the side of the connector opposite the button to release and take out the antenna. To set up the installation, push the wire harness into the hole prepared in the roof panel and press the antenna until both retainers snap in place. Once you've attached the wire harness connectors, insert and tighten the holding clip for the antenna, put back the headliner and connect the negative battery lead.
