  A: The first step in changing the air filter is to unclip the four spring clips from the front edge of the housing cover that locks it to the housing. After that, open the housing cover by releasing it from the four tabs on the rear of the case and set it aside. After removing the air cleaner, clean the housing inside before replacing the air filter. Put the air filter into the housing and then set the housing cover onto the tabs to secure it in place. Now, remove the clips from the springs to secure the cover to the housing. If any air filter, air resonator, air intake tubes or air filter housing clamps have been disturbed, tighten them to 5 Nm (40 inch lbs.).
