How to Service and Repair a Door Check on the Rear Door on 2006 Jeep Liberty?

The first step to servicing the rear door check is to take out the waterdam. Then, remove the screws that keep the door check mounted to the B-pillar. Then, remove the two nuts and then take out the door check strap. During the installation of the new check strap, remember that the part number should be toward the vehicle's interior. Feed the check strap into the hole of the speaker, place the nuts and tighten to 12 N.m. Later, attach the strap to the B-pillar, then tighten the bolts to 12 N.m.
