How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Hinge on 2006 Jeep Liberty?

You need to remove the upper B-pillar panel and the whole door for rear door hinge service and repair. After that, remove the two bolts inside the B-pillar and then take out the bolts that secure the door hinges to the B-pillar from the outside. To install, put in the hinges and then tighten the exterior bolts to a setting of 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs.). You should now install the two inner hinge bolts, also tighten them to 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs.). Place the door back and adjust it to meet the necessary requirements for alignment. Last, put the upper B-pillar trim back in place.
