2006 Jeep Wrangler Crankshaft Seal Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Crankshaft Seal on 2006 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Remove the damper and the timing belt from the crankshaft before starting to service and repair the front seal. After that, take out the crankshaft sprocket using Special Tool 6793, but be sure not to harm either of these parts. After that, carefully use Tool 6771 to separate the front crankshaft oil seal while preserving the seal's surface on the cover. Put the Special Tool 6780 over the seal spring, place it in the opening from the engine side and press it in until it matches the cover's surface. Following that, set in the crankshaft sprocket using Special Tool 6792 and later add the timing belt and crankshaft vibration damper.
