2007 Chrysler Crossfire Harmonic Balancer Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Harmonic Balancer on a Crankshaft Pulley on 2007 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Check for leaks at the front crankshaft oil seal and, if you observe any, replace it before you continue. After that, look at the seal area of the harmonic balancers and remove any obvious roughness using emery paper or an oil stone. Look at the harmonic balancer bolt and switch it out if it measures greater than 78 mm. Set the harmonic balancer on the crankshaft's front, make sure the bolt's threads are greased and then put it in place. Tighten the harmonic balancer bolt to 200 Nm (148 ft. lbs.) and afterward turn it another 90 degrees clockwise. Followed by this, set up the accessory drive belt and place the radiator, together with its attached radiator fan. Once Special Tool 9102 Flywheel Locking Tool comes off, place the starter and attach the negative battery cable. After you finish, put the key in the ignition, start the engine and look for any leaks.
